Albine Chipmunk, called McCane.
McCane spent one spring, summer and fall at Tamarack Acres. He became a friend and loved to get pumpkin seeds, sometimes fed by hand. He was quite an active little guy each day.
He hibernated in October and woke from his winter's sleep the next April. He was then with us for only a few days but after that, he disappeared and did not return.
We still think about him frequently.
